LOADING Sleds on chairs
Do not bring the sled up the lift if the wind strength is sufficient to create a safety hazard.
Before loading:
Be sure that the handles are properly secured; check that the pack and tail rope are well secured; ask for additional assistance with a crash sled due to its increased weight.
NOTE! Communicate with the lift operator what you want before you load the chair.
NOTE 2! Ask the operator to either stop the lift or run at slow speeds for loading and unloading on all lifts except the detachables.
Under regular operating conditions with one patroller:
Category 1: SUMMIT 6- sled on the seat of the chair next to the patroller with the nose of the sled next to the patroller, patroller sits on tower side;
Category 2: ROUNDHOUSE, SHERWOOD- sled on the seat of the chair and the lap of the patroller with the nose of the sled in the lap of the patroller, patroller sits on tower side;
Category 3: KANGAROO (2), ALPINE BOWL (2), SCOTT (3), LAKEVIEW (3)- straight over the back of the chair on the side away from the lift towers with nose forward for two (2) person chairs; over the back of the chair on the side away from the lift towers with the nose forward but tilted to the outside to rest at the corner of the back of the chair and the side arm of the chair and resting on the lap of the patroller for the three (3) person chairs;
Category 4: YELLOW (2), and HOTWHEELS (3)- by snowmobile unless conditions indicate otherwise, then use the Category 3 method;
Category 5: MEADOW, TIEGEL- always by snowmobile.
Under regular operating conditions if two patrollers are available and only on the lifts listed below; on all other lifts use the method listed above:
