Alpine Meadows

Membership:
15 physicians
Qualifications:
Valid CA physician's license. Practice devoted to orthopedics, emergency room medicine or family practice. Excellent skier; to be tested by the standards of the National Ski Patrol.

Basic Requirements:

  • Fourteen days per season patrolling.
  • Active status as Doctor Patroller meeting all current skills, training, registration, minimum patrol days, acceptance by patrol leadership, and adherence to Doctors' Patrol guidelines, rules and regulations.
  • Personality compatible with other physicians, RN's in First Aid room and Alpine Meadows staff and Patrollers.
  • Attendance of yearly Fall first aid refresher week-end.

    • Married patroller plan:
    * Season pass for patroller
    * Season pass for spouse and dependent children
    * Select number of comp tickets for the season

    • Single patroller plan:
    * Season pass for patroller
    * Select number of comp tickets for the season
    * 1 additional comp ticket on each day patrolled

    • After completion of twenty (20) years of patrolling at Alpine Meadows, patrollers in good standing will receive a lifetime pass for their personal use.

    Food Discounts

    Patroller will receive the same food discount privileges as Alpine Meadows employees. In addition, family members will get a "family staff pass" and will get a 10% discount on food.
